Layering with Canmake nail polishes

Hello everyone ^_^/

Today was a horrible day for me.
I injured my hand badly as I accidentally closed the car door on my thumb *ouch*
So until this heals no fancy manicures for me *is so very annoyed*

I am not sure how long it will take but I will try to share some swatches, hauls and previous manicures plus a couple tutorials I had prepared and hopefully my poor hand will be as good as new soon.

So for today I have the followup on the foil manicure to share.
As I wanted to spice it up a bit I decided some layering was in order.

So I used a couple of Canmake nail polishes I had lying around.

Canmake is a Japanese drugstore brand and their nail polish collection is amazing. Plus the bottles are super cute, yay!

I used the pink colour over the silver foil and the blue colour over the copper foil. Then I added a few star spangles for extra shine ^_^

I think the outcome was interesting. I liked the blue one better but all in all I am pleased with this manicure.

Also don't forget to enter my Big in Japan giveaway if you haven't already. You can find it on my blog's sidebar if you scroll down a bit ^__^

Orly Rage & Shine

Hello everyone ^_^/

How are you today? I am totally freaking out as I am starting a series of dreadful dentist visits. I am so so scared of dentists and even though my regular dentist is very nice I am still scared everytime I have to go. I don't think I will ever get over it.

So in order to cheer myself up I have some shiny foil FX nail polish swatches to share.

A few weeks ago I did this manicure using Orly's Rage & Shine from the Foil FX Collection. I love these polishes as they are super shiny and the looked fabulous with just two coats and without needing a top coat.

I have Rage on my index finger and Shine on all the rest.

If you like shiny polishes I highly recommend these beauties. I have the golden colour, Luxe, as well and I plan to swatch that too at some point.

I hope you all have a lovely and dentist free day :)

Pink flakes and flowers

Hello everyone ^_^/

Just a quick post today because I am so busy.
Here is one of the experiments with the Anna Sui flakies.

The base is two coats of Etude House PK008, a lovely pink shimmer.

Added the pink Anna Sui flakie from the Fall collection and some lovely flower stickers from Viva La Nails and voilĂ .

Anna Sui Fall Collection 2010, a flakie wonder

Hello everyone ^_^/

How was your week so far?
I have been so busy these last few days that I didn't even realise that it's Thursday already. But oh well, on to the interesting stuff.

Today I have nail polish swatches for you.
As you might know I am a huge fan of Anna Sui cosmetics, especially nail polishes.
So as soon as I saw the fall collection for this year I was dying to get my hands on these babies. Finding all of them was a bit tricky as a couple of colours were sold out all over Tokyo but in the end I managed to locate them in Odaiba yay.

These polishes are basically flakies in white, pink, brown, blue and purple. They are sheer and the flakies are super sparkly. And don't forget the awesome rose smell that all Anna Sui polishes give off.

Generally I don't like wearing sheer colours on their on but I think they are perfect for layering. I did try a few manis by layering these beauties over other colours and I was very please. For today though I will share a couple of swatches so here they are :D

Pink and white flower nails

Hello everyone ^_^/

How was your weekend? Mine flew by so fast without really doing much. I cannot believe it's already Monday tomorrow.

This post was supposed to be posted on Friday but got delayed to today for no apparent reason. It's another vacation manicure that I did for my friend K.

I used a pink Pa colour as a base, pink glitter by Kate, 3D flower stickers and pink rhinestones. Topped it with two layers of gel top coat.

I also received a blog award by the lovely Simply Rins that you can see on my sidebar. Please take a look at her blog, she has some amazing nail art posted.

Vacation manicures

Hello everyone ^_^/

I am slowly settling in again and trying to get back to my normal daily routine (why does work pile up when you go on vacation? meh) so in the meantime and while I prepare some posts that I have in mind here are a couple of manicures I did for my friend S. while on vacation. All the polishes, tools and accessories we used were purchased in Tokyo.

For the first look I used a pinkish red Anna Sui polish, a Kate glitter and 3D white rose stickers. Sealed everything with two coats of special Gel look top coat.

For the second look I used a white Jill Stuart polish with pink shimmer and a blue glittery Anna Sui polish. The cute kitty stickers are actual stickers bought from Tokyu Hands. Everything was sealed together with Anna Sui topcoat.

I have more vacation manis to share but it will have to be in another post.
I hope you enjoyed these two looks. S. and me had a lot of fun with them ^_^

Sparkly purple manicure - Tins & Jill Stuart polishes

Hello everyone ^_^/

I am slowly unpacking my suitcase and getting settled back home but as I have uploaded my vacation pics on the pc I have a few vacation manis to share.

The first one is my favourite as it looked fabulous and it lasted me for a whole week (I took this off just yesterday after it was ruined by dragging my suitcase around).

For this manicure I used Estessimo Tins #023, The Neptune and Jill Stuart 17, Purple Rain. Also added some purple heart spangles and sealed it with a layer of gel look top coat that I got in Japan.

I am back ^_^

Hello everyone ^_^/

Long time no see.
I am sorry that I made so few posts while being away but internet access was not as good as I hoped it would be. I am now back from my Tokyo vacation (just returned a few hours ago) so I will get back on track asap.

I have a lot of things to share with you both nail and deco related and I also have another giveaway in the works.

For the time being let me share with you an Etsy treasury by moonlilydesigns that features my Sweet Pastel Fruit Salad nails.

Check it out here if you want.

Gotta get some much needed sleep now but I shall return with more posting soon.
